Heidi’s European Pretzel Retail Licensing
Opportunities |
 |
 |
 |
Heidi’s European Pretzel sells a variety of
soft pretzel products. Our products are made in our factory in North
Bergen, New Jersey and shipped frozen. On-site preparation consists
of warming the product for several minutes and adding condiments.
Heidi’s is not a franchise, however a license is required to sell
our products and use the Heidi’s European Pretzel name.
Our
company owns and operates one retail location in the Garden State
Plaza Mall in Paramus, New Jersey. This kiosk is located on the
upper level between Macy’s and Neiman-Marcus. Also, licensees have
locations in the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City, and
the Palisades Center in West Nyack, New York. Additionally, Heidi’s
European Pretzels are sold in cafeterias run by Sodexho Marriott,
Flik International (part of the Compass Group), and Wood Dining
Services. Lastly, our products are sold in restaurants and hotels
such as Quikava, Times Square Brewery, and several Atlantic City
casinos. |

Product Line Pretzels – Pretzels and pretzel
sticks (3.5 oz.) are prepared plain, salted, or with
cinnamon-sugar. Pizzettas – (4.5 oz.) which are
pretzel-dough bases with tomato sauce, Swiss cheese, and
toppings such as pepperoni, bacon, and broccoli. Soft
drinks, bottled water, cappuccino, and fruit juice smoothies
are also sold.
License Arrangements – A fee is charged for a
license to sell our products, the level of which depends upon
the size of the proposed outlet. There is no term on the
license, as it remains in effect so long as the licensee
continues to use our products. Training in the preparation of
our product line is included under this arrangement. |
Operations – There are several
advantages to operating a Heidi’s European Pretzel outlet as
opposed to other pretzel franchises:
• Cost
- As a license concept there are no ongoing royalty
or advertising
fees. •
Flexibility - Heidi’s can be a stand alone business or
used in conjunction with other
food concepts. • Labor Savings - Using pre-baked
products reduces the amount of
time spent on preparation and therefore
offers tremendous cost
savings. •
Uniqueness - Our pizzetta product is unique in the market
and we are constantly working on
new ideas to keep the product
line fresh and up to date. |
